Watch my video to explore if there really are gender differences in communication. Is this a REAL thing? And, if so, what do we do about it?
There is a long-held belief that men and women ‘think differently’. I wonder if this is what causes inequality in the workplace? The different approach women and men have, has led to so many assumptions about how to overcome or manage gender differences in communication in the world of business. Is this even a necessity?
So many of us mistake ‘equality’ for ‘sameness’. What does this mean for women in the workplace which, we know, was built for men, by men? How do you own who you are, contribute based on your talents and find appreciation for that? Life, in general, can make this difficult. It is very important to manage this for your career and understanding these issues is one way to support yourself.
How do gender differences in the workplace play out? How can we make this less about differences and more about diversity and enhanced performance? How can we, as men and women in leadership positions, utilize all these potential differences to make out teams the best they can be?
This is one of my ‘hot topics.’ Because equality doesn’t mean “sameness” it means the equivalent. If done right, balanced leadership has an ROI—a huge one. Watch this video below to learn more about how communication — and thinking — works in men and women and how we make all of that WORK better for ourselves and our organizations. I think you’ll find it helpful.
